Puglia or Apulia is a southeastern Italy is covered with ancient olives trees. The region is packed with cultural heritage and sensual appeal. Beautiful beaches, sumptous foods and the ancient mixed culture.
I look outside the windows of the train, outside is a torrid heat makes the ground around the olive trees seems so tremble. I feasted my eyes on some olives landscape. I look for signs of the past in the narrow white sidestreets of the medieval town of Ostuni. A small whitewashed staircase leads up to the top of the home. Back when Greece was looking to expand its territories, it spilled into southern part of Italy. In a small town Alberobello in Bari with its unique cone and trulli houses, the palm trees and the smell of the lemon trees conjure up the image of the orient.
In looking traces of the past. I filled myself with the present. Sitting on some rocks looking out unto the sea in the early morning. The view of the hills and the sea is owesome and spectacular.
